I was told by At&t, and HTC that they decided to pull the Jellybean update due to the fact that some devices weren't able to download the update. I didn't see any articles out there mentioning this, so I decided to post this thread. I was also wondering if someone had any success applying the update manually, if so you would be a great help. Thanks in advance.

This is not meant to be cynical I promise...

Root your HOX (HOXL) and load the ViperXL ROM... I this far better than anything AT&T will produce. It is smooth, buttery smooth BTW, stable and lightning fast... My only complaint? ViperXL is not available for the Nexus 7...

Wow...

I rooted my HOX so long ago I can't remember how I rooted mine...!? There are hundreds of easy, one step ways to root your phone. Look on this forum or XDA and you will be in business. Believe me, I am no rocket scientist. If I can manage it your standing in tall cotton... Now you got me thinking... I have no clue what process I used! My biscuits aren't all done these days!

Installed JB update. Horrible. Took away usb options, among other small annoying things. Cannot unlock bootloader with x-factor or "1 click" methods. No way to root if you update to 3.18.502

Give it some time. One of these young gurus around here will figure it out... I know it sucks waiting.

Yeah, Im having trouble finding a solution for unlocking the bootloader.
Go to the XDA developement site forum, if its the ATT HTC One X US, this link AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL - xda-developers, Look in Q &A. Find the All in one Toolkit by Hasoon. Its perfect for a beginner to get rooted, flash roms, kernels etc. Just read his directions and follow them. Pick a custom rom and try it. If you like make a back up to go back too easily, then flash another and try that, if you don't like, then you can wipe and restore and keep going till you find one you like. First tho make sure you make a full back up of the rom you are on before you wipe the system or you will have to start from scratch with a RUU.

I downloaded it today, and had no issues downloading, or installing. This has honestly been one of the easiest OTA updates i have ever done.

My friend is having the same issue. His phone is stock never rooted etc. but the OTA is not showing even when he check it manually. Tried a lot of things but no use.

I downloaded it the day it was released without any problems. However, I have noticed a considerable change in battery life & it is not for the better. My phone is stock & not unlocked (l cannot do that because I am a phone retailer and this is a loan from the company).

I am going to download Juice Defender Pro to see if it will help.

Juice defender and other "battery saving" apps are placebo.. you'll get better battery for a day, and that's it. Those apps are worthless

Okay, you can manually install the Jellybean update. The instructions are on HTC's website... The only set back, is that it wipes your phone
