AT&T M8's to get "extreme power savings" update this week!

Anyone notice a decrease in audio quality after their update? I have been singing praises to the phenomenal audio quality of my M8, but I am thinking they monkeyed with something they shouldn't have. Just sounds muddier to me. Sound using power amp if awful compared to just the other day. I was having a few issues with power amp before (intermittent drop out and some distortion) but now it's awful.

Anyone got a full list of changes or we not privy to that type of info? Any ideas or suggestions that don't include rooting my device.

They release updates in sections across the country, so as not to clog their network with mass downloads. They've been doing this for some time now, just be patient it will come

Well I'm from Tennessee so hope it comes soon!

I have the update, but it didn't tell me what it updated...
I'll never use the power saver and I'm wanting to know if there's any other changes in this update.

Edit; oh joy, I see they spammed me with a FitBit app which I can't uninstall. What irritates me even more is that my wife heard me complain about it and is going to be using my phone now because she can't run fitbit on hers.

Easy fix. Go to: Settings, Apps, All (swipe to the left three times), scroll to Fitbit, (select), then uninstall updates, clear data, turn off notifications, and force stop. All done. At least this is the most dormant state an app can be in.

Anytime, you hear news about an update, just get it yourself. Settings, wifi on, then tap on Att software update.

I found this in that article;
"Feature Enhancements:
New photo editing features and Duo Camera effects"

Has anyone found these new camera effects? I don't see anything different. I did go back and re-Ufocus some of my old pics and some turned out sharper/better compared to the times when I previously U-focused them. But, I can't that that it's necessarily from the update. Maybe they just pushed the old Gallery update for those who didn't download it from the app store.

I was wondering the same thing. After I read that I checked in my gallery to see if I had any new stuff but found nothing. It might have been for a different carrier, I don't know.

I have not received notification of the update yet on my M8 When I manually check for AT&T Software Update, it says theres no update. Can someone help me, help my phone see the update?

They'll roll it out to you soon enough. From what I understand, they do it in groups. There's really nothing to get overly eager about with this update. If you can't wait for whatever reason, call att customer service. I had to have them push one to me once.

They were able to push this update to you ? What did you say for them to do it ? Because I still haven't received the update

No, I had them push one to me once because my phone didn't receive it for weeks. It was a glitch on my One X because I was checking for updates every day and something happened while I was checking (got a call, or something) and I couldn't get updates after that. So, they pushed it to me

Like I said though, this one isn't a meaningful update and I'm not sure why people are so concerned about not getting it yet. It will come, I'm sure.

Oh ok. So if I call AT&T do you think they'll push it to me

I'd just wait. It can take weeks sometimes to completely roll the update out to everyone

I don't don't see any new camera options in the update for T-Mobile either.

I could care less about the extreme power saver mode, it's the bug fixes I'm interested in. I haven't had any bugs yet, but with more updates, it will most likely insure that I don't

The AT&T version 1.58.502.1 is supposed to have the additional camera functions. The version I received this morning(Tmobile) is 1.57.531.7.
