AT&T Messages - can't disable vibrate?

I am using the AT&T Messages app, and even though I have the app notification settings set to "Vibrate: Never" the phone still insists on vibrating every time a text message is received. Anyone else have this issue? Is there some other device setting I am missing? I've also tried the app setting "Vibrate: Only when Silent" and that doesn't seem to work, either.

This is really PITA - I don't want my phone buzzing around my desk every time I get a text.

Have you looked at your stock messaging app settings? It could be that the stock messaging app is set to vibrate when a text is received. I don't use the AT&T Messages app but I do use ChompSMS and I had to turn off my notifications within the stock messaging app so Chomp was the only one notifying me.

Tried that...no dice. I also have the Dialer+ and Contacts+ apps, which also have an sms text function and I made sure that those were set to no notification on text received.

There are some vibrate control apps out there...I may try one of those but I really feel like this is a bug with ATT Messages app.

Y r u using att app over ghetto stick native app. Att app is horrible. And if it's bc of visual voice-mail use Google voice. I have my phones voice-mail routing to my gvoice. Another amazing txt messaging app is textra sms.
