Quick update: package arrived about an hour ago. It's a genuine Nexus S from Samsung/Google with 850/1900/2100 MHz 3G bands running Android 2.3.3. Very pleased.

just to confirm you're on AT&T? did you get the white one? I noticed NE has the black version aswell, but I'm guessing both colors are ATT compatible

Yeah, I'm on AT&T. Negri is selling the 850/1900/2100 MHz 3G models in both black and white. Not sure about the other retailers mentioned in this thread.

Any Nexus S owners who bought from Negri or Mobilecity have issues with the Android Market and apps?

The only issues I have are that many market apps are not compatible with the Nexus S (such as, Astro File Manager unlock key, to remove ads). But the market works fine.
