AT&T not recognizing my AT&T device

My S21 ultra is showing up as 5G BYOD smartphone on AT&T. I recently switched from iPhone to Samsung. I've spoke to many representatives and they can't see to figure out what is going on. They even acknowledge that it shows up on there end as an AT&T device. I fear that since it's not showing up properly it's keeping me from getting software updates. I'm still on Android 11 September 1 2021 security patch.

Is it an AT&T S21 Ultra, or did you get it from somewhere else?
 
Its definitely Att device, you on installment plan with them , never seen a lock on Att phones until its paid off must be something new , similar how TMobile has device unlock app until device paid off
 
AT&T still can't figure it out. Yes I am making payments on an iPhone still but that's never been and issue. I've used a unlocked Verizon phone on my account and it showed up properly. it showed device name make model and everything.

You can try flashing the firmware again
 
Att doesn't recognize my pixel either. I phoned them to get it updated so they won't cut me off and they manually put it in. Still shows unknown in my account.
 
considering flashing unlocked firmware tonight. thoughts?

this issue is still not fixed. My S21 ultra 5G is AT&T branded and shows up on my att app as a 5G BYOD.
