Hello Everyone!!!! I have the Gear S3 Frontier from AT&T and I have several questions. When receiving calls how do I make the calls go from my phone to the watch? How do I turn auto call forwarding on? I understand that with Numbersync you can use your mobile number with multiple devices. If that's the case why do I have two numbers? How do I make it so that when someone calls my main mobile number it goes to the watch and I can answer the call on the watch? I'm really confused having two numbers. If I want someone to call the watch which number do I give them?

AT&T numbersync does all that for you and don't bother with the phone number provided for it. You need the LTE service and number in order for AT&T to route all your calls and texts. The LTE service is only really needed to use your S3 when not by your phone. Like if you leave your phone at home or in your car. To route calls and texts without the LTE service that's all done within the gear app.

I have LTE service. I tested the watch out. I paired/connected the watch to my phone and had my friend call me. When he called me the call showed up on my phone and the watch. Then I disconnected the watch from the phone and put it in standalone mode. When my friend called me again the call showed up on my phone and not the watch.

Did you go into the gear app to enable the phone notifications?

Did you go into the gear app to enable the phone notifications?

Here's what I did:

1. I went to the Gear Manager app
2. I clicked on settings
3. Then I clicked on notifications
4. Then I clicked on manage notifications
5. When I scroll through the apps I see incoming call and missed call
6. Incoming call is blacked out but turned on
7. When I try to turn incoming call off I get a popup message that says: Unable to turn off incoming call notification when NumberSync is turned on

I'm not sure why when I disconnect the watch from the phone and put it in standalone mode calls only show up on the phone and not the watch.

Re: AT&T - Receiving calls/auto call forwarding/numbersync

You have to disable numbersync from the connection settings on the S3. Or completely remove the s3 from numbersync on the AT&T site.

So I went to the AT&T store earlier and there were about 6 employees in the store. I had about 5 of them come over to my table to figure out the issue. None of them could figure it out. They connected the watch remotely and tried turning NumberSync on and off but that didn't fix the issue. They tried turning Bluetooth on and off but that didn't fix the issue. The manager tried calling my phone from his phone and the call showed up on my phone but not the watch. They thought that maybe you had to be far away from the phone so the manager took his phone and went to a different part of the mall and called my phone but apparently the call didn't show up on the watch. They tried everything they could think of but nothing worked. Finally they called tech support and they did what tech support told them to do but nothing worked. They told me that tech support would report this and they would talk to the higher ups and supposedly I'm supposed to get a call within 5 days. My guess is that if they still can't figure this out they'll either have me send the watch somewhere so they can fix it or they'll have me send the watch back and they'll replace it with a new one.

I'm having the exact same issue for some reason and it happened randomly. When i first got the watch it worked just fine when I would disconnect the phone and watch but as of late now when I disconnect them I get a message on my watch that says "Calls are not being forwarded to gear s3 click ok to try again."

Please let me know how this goes for you I think I'm going to take it into the store for assistance. I hope this isn't a common bug in the watch.

It's not a bug with the watch, it's a problem inherent to NumberSync. Those using Digits or Google Voice don't have that problem.
