Well ****, looks like im gonna have to ***** my way to my medialink.

They indeed forgot to add mine to the order. I went back to the same store and talked to them, they apologized for the mistake and did the best they could to rectify the situation. They ended up giving me a cash refund of 90$ and then placed a new separate order for an htc media link. Ended up paying 7$ out of pocket for tax in the device, which I think is standard. Either way I'm happy.

My credit card was initially charged for the phone on 4/4 but the charge for the One is no longer there. Everything seems to be fine on the web site, the order is still processing and on my AT&T app I have a new phone number. Has anyone else's charge disappeared from their credit card?

i preordered on the 5th and my AMEX still shows the authorization for the full price of the upgrade as well as 3 other $1 authorizations. im guessing they authorized $1 each for the phone, sim card and media link since i have 3 items in my order when i check online.

Yup. Just went back to the att store and I told the rep what happened. He said let me check with my manager and sure enough they just ordered it for me at no cost.

Maybe some absolute wizard on XDA could do it but it doesn't sound like it's a easy as T-Mobile's version. No word on Sprint.

i upgrade my phone thru at&t on my business line, but will be using the htc one on my personal line, does any body know if the sim att is going to send me can be activated as my personal line or does it already come programed with my business line phone number ?

the SIM is tied to the number you used to upgrade and if you dont activate the phone with that number theyll eventually charge you for the full price of the phone

no they dont, when you sign up for a 2 year contract you can do whatever you want with the phone, you are still locked in to the plan for two years

Most likely that sim is tied to your business line.. To be safe n avoid any thing like being charge for never activating it. Just put your Business sim into that phone let it activate it. Then pop it out and put your personal sim in.

I think the old sim for your business line would be dead doing this tho

ATT doesn't care who uses the phone. The line that you use the upgrade on is renewed for 2 years regardless of what line the phone is being used on. It's called an alternate upgrade. They won't charge you full price if you use the phone on another line. You could sell the phone to someone else if you wanted... ATT doesn't care as long as you pay that monthly bill.

I was talking to smooth3006 and my comment was based on all his post in this tread. I don't think he ever had any intention of ever buying an HTC ONE.
