If there's no contractual stuff keeping me from it I may do that.
I've never followed iphone stuff. By profit you mean above my subsidized cost but below retail I guess. If it works only on AT&T and someone wasn't due for upgrade/new subsidy they could just pay retail to AT&T right?. But NIB on ebay could get me close as you suggest.

Well here is my story. Sorta "better to be lucky than good".

I purchased a T-Mobile N1 about 2 weeks ago. I was going to use it on AT&T. I even tweeted Jeremy about it and how he liked it. I stole mine off a guy that had it engraved and decided he did not like it. I paid $350 shipped for it and it was less than 2 weeks old. I dropped my SIM into it and used it for one day. Although I loved the phone, 2 issues came up. (1) I realized I could not live without AT&T 3G. I didn't try to fool myself into this one. I live in Atlanta and have had much better luck with AT&T than any other carrier and I have tried them all. (2) I the phone had some dust under the screen. #1 was my main concern though. So after having the phone for a day, I dropped it on Ebay and sold it for $500. I was surprised it went for that much. I dropped that into my account and started the waiting game.

I just got an iPhone in December. My company gave it to me for free. I came from Android and missed the OS. Anyway, I just ordered my AT&T N1 and will have both phones to swap back and forth so I will not get a "new toy itch" for at least a couple of months.

The good news is, since I am selling my TMobile Nexus on eBay and won't be worried about warranty returns, I can go ahead and root and see what some of the modded ROMs are all about!!

I have been(already on a $30 blackberry data plan). First, because I do not believe 30 bucks is an unreasonable amount to pay for unlimited data(even EDGE data) but also because I knew I'd be getting the 3G version when it came out so no real need to change my data plan only to change it back again.

Hey Verizon customers.... Not to worry, Yes, Verizon is getting the Nexus 1 but what's more important is that Verizon is also getting the HTC incredible which is bassicly a N1 skinned with HTC sense and I beleive an 8mm camera to boot... My buddy at Verizon told me its gonne be in their stores within the next couple of weeks for sale.

Ouch. Four hour turn around may not be good for me since I ordered so late.

I ordered this one the same time as the last one, but it was maybe 4 or 5 days after first launch so there may have been fewer orders that day. I bet they're swamped today.....people have been waiting for the 3G.
