I know its the new phone and pre sales were very high, but I went to my local AT&T store to see about getting an S10+ in black. The girl working there told me they were sent only one black S10+ and they sold it already. That just seems so insane to me to launch a new product and then send only one to a store. She also said they won't get anymore until atleast wednesday. I guess I will try seeing if any other stores have one in stock.

I assume most devices are being reserved for pre-orders and that is why they push them so hard. Going in on launch day with nothing but hope is just throwing the dice at the wall. Some stores may get a few and others may get zero.

Oh I knew the chances of getting one today were slim. I'm fine with not getting one right away, but I would have expected to hear "ya we had 10 of them, they sold very fast.", not the "we only got 1".

Probably wasn't one of their high volume stores which tend to get more phones.

I just got back a little while ago from dropping off my S9+ at my local T-Mobile store, while chatting with the rep he informed me they didn't get one single S10 varient in and if you pre-order today it's a month out. This is a decently busy store, they are located about 1.5 miles down the road from the Microsoft main campus in Redmond. So it's not just AT&T, I believe there was just a really high demand for the phone.

I remember when the Note 7 came out I went to an ATT store to pickup a phone case for my Tmobile Note 7. The salesman said they were only sent 4 Note 7s.

It seems stores don't carry a huge stock in general. Even well after launch date they still don't carry a ton. The tmobile stores for example get shipments from UPS everyday with phones.

It seems they don't want to keep huge quantities of phones in stock. It's understandable with all the robberies going on with cell phone shops. The ATT store up in St. Louis where I used to live was robbed of a bunch of phones during an armed robbery and the Tmobile Store just down the road was held up a few months before that with phones stolen and this wasn't even a bad area of town. Unless it's a J series model, the stores don't carry a ton of them.

Shoot, the AT&T store in the Mall of America had some when I inquired a few hours ago. (I didn't get one, BTW).

I'm finding a similar experience with obtaining an S10+. Most stores seem to have plenty S10e in stock, but as for the other versions, most are not available.

One store representative suggested that Samsung may be sending limited stock in order to see which S10 will sell better. I had one store tell me that they don't provide stock information over the phone.

Wow that's crazy they won't tell you over the phone. Best Buy just told me all you can get is the E every other one is sold out. I'm waiting on my Pink unlocked plus.

If anyone is still looking, try Target. All Targets around me (south metro MN) have stock in a lot of varieties. I got one yesterday just walking in, plus a $200 Target gift card.
