Woke up this morning and my phone was in the middle of downloading an update from AT&T. Since I was sleeping I gave it no permission to do this on its own. First time it's ever done that without any input from me. Build number is R16NW.N950USQU5CRIA. Security Patch Level is September 1, 2018 but I'm an old guy so can't remember if that's the same as before or not. Growing old sucks. Please avoid it at all cost! Anyone know the contents of this update? I see nothing changed at first glance but was in a hurry to get to work so had no time to check thoroughly.

This update came earlier in week. It will have the super slow motion camera update on it.

I just noticed there is an icon for AR Emoji on the camera now. Not sure where to find the super slow motion camera option though. Thanks for the info.

Swipe left when you have camera on and you'll see in the menu.

I Just received my new ATT Note8 from Best Buy. Came loaded with 7.1.1 security patch 11/17. I have been able to get up to 8.0 Baseband version N950USQ3CRC2 build # R16NW.n950USQU3CRC2. Security Patch Mar 1 2018. Now my phone is telling me my software is up to date. Smart Switch is telling me the same things as well. I know there are updates after this I saw Them on the ATT site but the ATT Techs cant seem to get me past this version. Any help would be appreciated because ATT cant seem to fix it. Their suggestion was to file a claim and get a new phone but ATT doesnt carry the Note8 and I dont want a Note 9 when I got a great deal on this one (1/2 the price of 9 on next)

Even though it doesn't say it anymore, AT&T makes you wait 24 hours between checking for updates. You can move your date ahead, or wait 24 hours and try checking for updates again.
