How do I get rid of the apps icons down below the "recent apps" button view, below the "clear all"

I have looked everywhere in settings and can't find the settings to remove them all completely. I can rearrange the apps icons in normal home screen, looking to remove the apps icons in "recent apps" view mode. It's in a different viewing mode, just like changing the shortcuts in "lock screen" mode.

I'm able to change apps icons in normal mode and lock screen mode but I can't seem to figure out the settings for recent apps mode. I have a Samsung and when I'm in recent apps mode there are no apps icons down below the clear all.

Another member found the solution when I asked the same thing a while back, so I can't take credit for finding the solution. Go to settings > extensions, then turn off "App Suggestion." This is different than how other phones do it (usually though a menu in the recent apps view that the V60 lacks), so it was perplexing me for some time as well.

I went in settings/extensions and I don't see any app suggestions. Where is it?

That's odd. It's there on my Verizon version. Have you tried going into the settings, then typing "app suggestion" in the search box? Make sure it's suggestion singular, as when I tested it with "app suggestions" plural it returned no results.

I'm also still on Android 10, but do have the Android 11 update trying to nag me (I refuse to update). If you you're on 11, I wonder if that option was removed.Screenshot_20210510-162208.jpg

Hmmm...Here is this settings menu on my T-Mobile branded V60 with Android 11:

I'm with t-mobile. I bought an unlocked att brand lg v60 on target website. It's currently on android 10.

Searching for app suggestion found no results.

Hi, welcome to AC !

Mooncatt post you couldn't find it?

For what it's worth, my V60 updated itself against my will yesterday, and this feature is now removed on the Verizon variant. The app suggestions no longer show, and searching for it in the settings returned no results.
