ATT HTC One and GPe ROM

Hello everyone.

I was hoping to get an answer to the following question:

Is it possible to completely convert an ATT HTC One into a GPe that will allow for OTA Updates?

I would just buy a GPe but I really like the black so if I can buy the color I want and have it function exactly as a GPe that would be ideal.

Yes, it is possible, there are two schools on this, 1) you run a custom ROM based on GPe or 2) you do the full conversion with the RUU (which I did) but it requires you to be rooted, unlocked, S-Off, and a few other things. It was fairly easy. You can learn, and read more here Google Edition Stock Recovery, Bootloader, RUU Zip and Conversion Process - xda-developers

I'll be doing a full conversion if the converted devices receive the OTA.

I've done the full conversion and per the experts on xda, we should receive the 4.3 ota.

Yeah, I've read the threads. I'm still gonna wait it out. In the mean time I'm looking into the steps trying to familiarize myself seeing as I've never even rooted one of my devices before. Looks fairly simple though.
