ATT move up eligibility date?

i swear...... AT&T needs to inform all stores and all reps of their policies. Its such a tangled bunch of F**K that no one knows the correct answer so those of you getting early upgrades in store or on phone tend to make people like me mad who can't seem to get them (not your fault obviously)

I went into the store this past weekend and they said it has to be the 1st of the month that your upgrade is in. But yah the rep on the phone i talked to said i could go in store and they can do it within 30 days as well. I think i'm going to stop into an AT&T store on the 8th before i call in. I'd rather be able to take it home right then than wait it out.

Wow thats just incredible that i'm MONTHS ahead of you and you got it done and i can't seem to. welp AT&T get ready for a barrage of calls until i get my freaking upgrade!!!

Well son of a ****h.... So the rep i talked to last tuesday ended up still calling me, within 20 minutes she got all my info, asked which color i wanted, said i still get to keep my 2GB data plan and will switch to LTE, ships with a new sim card, confirmed my address, got my credit card information, got the price override and got a manager to approve it all. She even waived the shipping fee of $15!!

She has absolutely made my day! No backordered phone either so i don't know what those other reps were smoking...

And i'll also apologize to this thread as i've been just well dominating it with my "problems" hahahaha

My eligibility date was 5/7 but when I went in to my account on 5/1, ATT had me eligible. Needless to say mine is on the way now!
 
Write the corporate office, it worked for me, my upgrade wasn't due for 2 years. I used the new trade-in program and got the phone for 100.00 bucks by trading in my iphone 4. I am a premier customer of 20 years and customer service would not help me either so I contacted corporate.
Mine is also April 2014. When I called they wouldnt work with me at all. Ive been with att for 8 years and have 3 lines on my account. Anything in particular you said? I was thinking of calling the retention department and pulling the "it's cheaper to cancel my line and go with another provider than to buy the phone outright" route.
