ATT Note 3 update 4.4.4?????

In my experience, AT&T is not the swiftest horse out of the gate when it comes to updates of any kind.

I usually wait at least 6 months to upgrade Android versions - first I see all the horror stories, then I wait until someone comes out with fixes. (The Sprint 4.4.4 can be rooted - I don't know if the method would apply to the AT&T version, I haven't looked to see what it is.)

I figure carriers other than AT&T will be releasing Lollipop for our devices... Then, AT&T will release a crap version of 4.4.4 for us and no Lollipop. That's how they were when I was on BlackBerry.

That's surprising. My Galaxy S3 that is on 4.4.2 can use Google Wallet. Very strange.
