ATT Smart Wifi App

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone have the AT&T Smart Wi-Fi apk where I can sideload it on my international Galaxy II? I tried to download it from the Market, but it won't allow me because it doesn't detect my unlocked phone as an ATT phone (even though I am an ATT account holder using their sim). From what I read, this app autoconnects you to ATT's hotspots (starbucks, etc.) automatically like the iPhone. This is the app I'm talking about...

I have always been connected automatically without an app. Just being on At&t was enough.

Is that not your case? I usually find they are slower then the 3G network... Your probably trying to save data tho...

Hmm... Is there a special apn that I need to enter for it to connect to the wifi network? Are you using the unlocked version of this phone or the ATT branded one? There are some places around town where the 3G service sucks, but there are ATT hotspots around. I just need to find a way to connect to them.

It's a branded Galaxy... My 3 iPhones all just connected. I'm just curious about how the network works it.

Sorry for the bump, but since the APK wasn't provided, I'm looking for the same thing and this showed up in the first page of google search.reasonable to ask for it in the same thread rather then a newer.

Also would be curious to hear methods to access directly.
I tried using market enabler to get this app but didn't work.traveling across and hope this eases getting on these hotspots too
