I got a up date notice just now, its a att s8+ and i dont have no red tint so wondering what this update for

The red tint balance color update is for everyone regardless if they suffer from that issue or not.

I didn't see any log after my phone updated. It updated, rebooted - then after seeing the home screen, there was a notification that Android was Updating... Then it finished and nothing. Weird - I usually would see some log before or after an update.

Perhaps it depends on the carrier, but the AT&T update to AQDE did not include a change log. (I don't see it in this forum either.) AT&T's site lists the following, though:

Update to color balance display settings, Force Close fix for Data Quality Assessment (DQA) error pop-up, 5G Access Point (AP) Wi-Fi compatibility fix, and Bixby button key short press timing change.
