AT&T Galaxy S8 Att update.

Anyone have the changelog?

Ditto. Just updated the system.

God willing this fixes my mysterious freezing in the middle of the night -- rendering my alarm useless...

New SIM card, cleared cache, restored to factory x3, safe doesn't help. Everything else on the phone works perfectly...so disappointing...

With any luck, whether this update targets my issue directly, or just fixes it by happenstance - finger. are. crossed!

So this took all in all about 15 minutes to do. Must be sizeable. This is my first experience with Android.

So the actual DL then applying of the update took about 10 minute or so (though I am on Company WiFi -- so your results may vary). Phone got to the home screen and the update screen popped up and said "update successful"

Then in my notification slide-down menu I have an "android system" notification that says "Upgrading Android..." with a status bar. It's at about 1/5 the way complete....crawling... even through when the system came back up it said "update successful"

So no idea what it's "upgrading..." at a snails pace too mind you...

My only issue luckily had been face recognition. It worked great and then just quit.

How long did the "optimization step" take on your phone? aka the background notification that says "android updating?"

Mine is 2 hours in and taking forever. I'm only at like 50%

I just did the update. 375mb. Total time about 10 minutes. Then I cleared the cache. So far. Face recognition is working again. I don't see a difference in bixby.

Mine updated really quickly. I feel like the AOD clock size is smaller. Maybe I'm imagining it but I am pretty sure it's a little bit smaller.

mine took about 2 hours. I had to leave it at work at lunch for the WiFi. so about 11:40 to 1:15

If you want the update today just uncheck auto date and time, set date to tomorrow. Install update, change date back to today and set updating of date and time back to auto. Very simple, just did it. Or, you can just wait.
