audio but no video in download, why?

hi, has anyone come across this problem?
I have downloaded adobe flash player for android, but if I try to download a video clip, it opens, can hear sound, but the video 'screen' is black.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Where was the video downloaded from, what is the file format, and what player app are you using?

Try using MXplayer from the Play store

I've just installed an update... should have left well alone! I can't view BBC iPlayer or similar either, it says 'content doesn't seem to be working', try again later.

All worked without problem before samasung update

If u updated to kitkat then it takes away flash capability. Try to download the app flash fox it is a browser with flash built in. Tell me if that works.

It's likely a flash issue if you are trying to view straight from the web browser. Use an alternative as suggest above.

If you are downloading and trying to view via a media player, then download another video player, such as the one suggested by diane helen (MX Player).

If it is from a website with flash, you will have to sideload the flash apk. You can find it as well as brief setting change needed for it to work here:
