Audio 'muting' when watching videos

Is anyone else having this problem? The video will play for, say, 30 seconds, then all of a sudden the sound will stop working but the video will continue to play.

Very weird and very annoying.

Do you mean video playback on YouTube? If so, no--I cannot duplicate the issue.

YouTube seems fine. It's generally when watching videos on Chrome. I'll report back when it happens again.

I'm experiencing the same problem too. Be on different apps when I'm watching a video after a short while the audio cuts out. YouTube, Photos, Snapchat and even Facebook recently. Anyone have any solutions?

Tested in Chrome on a m.youtube site. No issues. As noted above, no issues w youtube app also.

You guys might want to test in safe mode...likely another app causing issues.

How do you get in and out of safe mode on the 5X?

Use safe mode to find problem apps:

• Make sure your device's screen is on, then press & hold the Power button.
• In the box that opens, touch & hold Power off.
• You'll see a “Reboot to safe mode” box. Touch OK.
• Your device will start up in safe mode. Try using your device normally to test to see if your issue persists.

Reboot again to get back to normal mode.
