So last night i was bored thus i booted up my 12 Pro Max. New IOS update and stuff. Connected my WF-1000XM4 and i was shocked at how good music sound on the 12 Pro Max.

I thought it might be the headset, so i connected my ATH-M50XBT2 and yeah they do sound better on my 12 Pro Max. Tried with the Sennheiser Momentum TW2 and it still sounds better than my ZF3.

I have tried turning Dolby on and off, tweaked the headset equalizer but it still sounds inferior on my ZF3.

I mostly listen to Metal songs.

Anyone have any tips for better sound quality?

No, but I would just turn it up louder! Remember, if it's too loud, you're too old.

Are you playing locally stored music or streaming? What streaming quality if you're streaming? What file format if you're playing local files?

I like metal and stream high quality.

Local files I use Poweramp Pro to play filles that are FLAC, OGG or WAV. I don't have any mp3 files. Poweramp has full featured settings that allow lots of tweaks to the sound.

Streaming from Spotify. Quality set to Very High on both devices.

Poweramp... My favorite music player before i used Spotify. Sadly i cant get the songs which i like in Spotify in CD form. Most cds arent sold in Indonesia...

And you mentioning FLAC made many flashbacks to good old days...

I'm sorry to hear that. I'm not sure what can be done to improve the sound quality of Spotify.

Have you experimented with the equaliser? Perhaps more highs and less midrange would bring out the guitar sounds better.

after reading here and there i think i found the reason.Samsung uses a different Codec for bluetooth audio.Unless youre using the Galaxy Buds then its better on an iPhone. For my case im using Sennheiser or Sony...Sold my Buds Pro and Buds Plus not long ago...wish i didnt.

Have you tried wired headphones? I have a dongle that allows me to use those.

i do have the WH-1000XM4 and WH-1000XM3 but the USB-C port of Samsung phones arent that good for audio. The only workaround is by using a Khadas Tea Magsafe DAC but i cant buy it here in Indonesia... The power is crazy with the Khadas Tea...it can power up to 300 ohms... ill see what i can do to get those.

That looks sweet! I have a FiiO, but I like that Khadas Tea better.

My samsung buds sounded like garbage compared to my Sonys. I had the buds, buds 2, and buds pro. Hated all of them.
