You must have a specialized phone because I tested 3 display units at the store and the manager at the store who had the phone agreed with me that they had that problem .. He ended up with that note 3

It must be just a bad batch of phones it happens. I'm sure there are a lot of people that have no issues with their phone sorry to hear about your troubles. Good luck on your adventure hope you find what you're looking for.

I no longer enable clearaudio+. It makes the music sound shrill. Best thing to do is enable the dynamic normalizer and leave clearaudio+ turned off. This will increase the volume and maintain the clarity of the music. It is absolutely louder than it even needs to be. this is coming from a musician that owns a lot of high end audio equipment.

I had the same experience you had with clearaudio+, it sounded to me like it just sucked the energy out of the music and shrill. However, I hadn't really experimented with the dynamic equalizer and, you are right, it really did boost the output. Volume was OK before, now it is great. Thanks for the tip!
