Hello. When I use my camera on galaxy s9 the photos dont seem natural, the contrast is too bright. I have turned off HDR and no change. I.e. my sons eyes look super black instead of brown almost like black oil or a navy/white striped shirt will shoot as black/white. Even the video recording is just as bright. Is there a way to make photos and videos look more natural? On the iPhone 8 plus the camera shoots and records colors as they are. I am using auto and would just like to point and shoot.

Point and shoot isn't going to give you the best pictures - no matter which phone or camera app you use. I'd suggest learning a little about EV and White Balance and using an app that allows you to adjust the EV and the White Balance, so that you can adjust the exposure (unfortunately, cellphone cameras aren't really the greatest at that - there's no priority setting) and the White Balance (which will allow you to get the colors closer to real).

From what I understand (I don't own an S9), the camera app takes oversaturated pictures. There are some apps that don't, a lot of them free. Go to Play and experiment with a few. (And start reading sites like https://www.google.com/search?q=kodak+photography+tips&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b-1 to learn how to take better pictures. Kodak has been teaching people longer than I've been alive, and I'll be 76 soon.)
