Auto Clear Apps Cache

That is the type of feature I’d think people behind SD Maid Pro would be into. Up their alley and trustworthy.

Not that I seen , normal don't have to do unless that app is giving a issue.

Some browsers create large cache, can also clear on exit. Also photo libraries. Both types may benefit from clearing their cache. Chrome or Edge, definitely. I had an 80GB photo library. Ended up moving 60GB off to the SDXC which is kept unmounted most of the time. It was getting sluggish and slow plus impossible to find a photo and album to share from inside social media apps. Clearing a cache can trigger building new index.

Device Care and Maintenance wants to close or put apps to sleep to preserve battery, restart on a regular basis, and should look at temp files that can be cleared out.

I have the 12/128 S20 Ultra (only version of S20 Ultra sold in Indonesia) and Chrome and Youtube takes 2GB to 3GB per month... Well i can manually clear cache but it takes work xD

I only need to clear Chrome and Youtube... Those 2 are crazy cache hoarders...

Just long press the app tap info then storage clear cache

you can delete the residual files left over by different apps In the Settings of the App Cache Cleaner app, you can choose Auto Clear Interval and then pick an interval after which you want to automatically clear the cache.

those 2 are the biggest culprit...i find it disturbing if my phone has less than 100GB available out of the 128GB...like you know the low memory sensor in my head...
What else is using your storage , those 2 apps can't be only ones contributing.

SD Maid Pro you can set a schedule to have it do it every day I do mine at 2:00 in the morning while it's charging and it works great

I know as usual I'm a little late to the party. Usually restarting the device helps keep caches under control as many times part of the powering off process is to close apps and clear caches. You could try scheduling weekly or even twice a week restarts. See if that helps with your issue as it's already built into the device, would automatic and could be scheduled when it's not likely to interrupt your schedule.

Third party apps can do the job and will often do all apps which can be helpful. For me the real issue is finding apps that work, that I can trust and that don't give me a bunch of extras that I don't want or need. With you being in Indonesia availability vs what I might recommend could be an issue so I'd say look for an app with a high rating.

nah youre not late xD well i have SD Maid installed but it doesnt seem to clear the apps cache...the ebst way is clear the cache 1 app at a time and then reboot.

Look for Ccleaner. If memory serves it has an option to clear all of the devices caches in one go. I think they started including some extra functions and there's a premium version $$ of course. When I've used it in the past typically I use it and uninstall it. I've never been in a situation where I've felt the need to use it for more than just like a specific purpose. If the other isn't doing what you want and this is available to you it's pretty good.

I still would be curious if you might not get the same results just by doing regular restarts. Do you have any automatic restarts scheduled? How often? I mean Android is meant to be fairly autonomous, even if you look around these boards and think otherwise. LOL.

hi,i do not have automatic restart scheduled...its like i almost never restart my phone before i had this S20U as im never bothered by my previous phones capacity...my pervious N10+ and Rogphone 2 had 512GB of ROM...and i even ordered a Poco F2 Pro with 8GB RAM and 256Gb ROM which is on the way...i hope its good so i can sell the S20U...

Well I'd say that never, or hardly ever, restarting your device is a huge factor. Regular restarts are healthy for devices. Restarting not only clears out caches but it stops background processes, reboots the OS, UI and apps, works as a defragmenter for the drive and calibrates the battery. I'm surprised that having owned Samsung devices in the past you were never prompted to restart your device. These device health/device care pop-ups were one of the first things I noticed when I got my first Samsung.

These things are small computers and just like no one would leave their PC or laptop running endlessly these devices can't run endlessly. I'd bet if you got on a regular restart cycle you'd find that you like this device again. Plus using auto restart you wouldn't even notice it was happening or have to remember to do it. Set it and forget it. <-- Sorry that would probably be funny if you were from the States, it's a hook line for a well known commercial, LOL. I mean what could it hurt, just to see if things get better while you're waiting for your new device.
