Auto correct on Max?

When I'm typing initials or a slang word for example, I can't seem to bypass the auto correct?

There has to be a way to ignore the auto correct without having to tap the screen all the time. Any shortcuts?

If u press and hold the word above the keyboard, that u are trying to type. It will save it and remember it for next time.

Menu>Settings>Language & Keyboard>Multi-touch Keyboard>un-select "auto-replace"
