I saw in some videos that you could set up your S8 to automatically reboot itself at say 3am every week to keep it running crisp. I went to set it up and I dont have that feature in my set up. I am thinking that Verizon disabled it. Could you check to see if you have it? Run Set Up ->Personal-> then the bottom menu of Back Up and Reset.

I am disappointed that it is not available for me. Any work arounds without rooting?

Oh man! I didn't even know that was a thing! I loved that from my old blackberries. Stupid Verizon :(

You shouldn't need to reboot your phone. as soon as you do android loads the memory back up with cache'd software. Keep the tabs in chrome to a minimum and your phone will practically reset itself to a zero state when left alone.

I feel you should restart your phone from time to time. It only takes a minute or so to manually restart, so that's not to much of a problem.

The real problem is Verizon, or any carrier for that matter, disableling features that the phone was designed to come with.
