Auto rotate issues

My htc is running 4.4.3 and for some reason even if auto rotate is turned off, the screen still rotates? How do I fix this?

When is it rotating? Is it only in certain apps, all apps, and/or other screens?

From what I can tell its all screens that allow it. From the homescreen to games and apps. Whats more its also an intermittent thing.

I know some apps have that built in independent of the system setting and was thinking that's all it was. Are you sure the home screen is rotating too? Even with the auto-rotate active on my phone, my home screen doesn't rotate.

Yes that's true. But yes the home screen had been. I've just updated to 4.4.4 and it hasn't done it yet. Fingers crossed its fixed!

your home-screen rotate is 360 degree or 270 degrese , have you ever done something?
If you try reboot M8 , it would fix by itself?
