Recently my phone started taking 30 seconds or more to rotate from vertical to horizontal. Is anyone else having this problem? Any suggestion on a fix?

Never had it rotate that slowly but I recommend flashing a mod or rom that reduces rotation speed. I have something on mine that reduced the speed quite noticeably.

Oops, meant increased the speed not reduced.

4.0.3 seems to fix this issue. I have a custom ROM based on this version and there is almost no lag when rotating, so when the update is sent from Google the lag should disappear for you.

What are you doing when your getting the lag? what app or program?

No one really know when the OTA 4.0.3 will come out but it does speed the phone up using the 4.0.3 custom roms.

I'm experiencing this as well. I'm rooted but am not using a custom ROM (need to learn how to use them). It doesn't happen a lot but when it does it's frustrating and I have to turn the Galaxy Nexus to portrait, landscape, portrait and it usually does the trick. I need to check out how to do the whole custom ROM am new to Android.

Probably the worst program is when I set an alarm. I usually have the phone in a horizontal position and originally when the alarm went off the screen would switch from vertical to horizontal very quickly now it doesn't switch at all! Any suggestions?

I had this issue too when I was running stock 4.0.1/4.0.2. Now im using a custom ROM with 4.0.3 and I hardly have any lag.
