Auto rotate

I did notice a "rotate to landscape" mode in home screen settings, but it greyed out.

Are you using a 3rd party launcher and is the 'general' auto-rotation setting on the phone turned on? That particular option only applies to Samsung's launcher.

Using stock Samsung one ui7 launcher. If you're referring to the auto rotate button when you swipe down from the screen top, yes that's on.
