Auto rotation while playing back recorded videos

If I shoot a video while holding the phone vertically and then rotate the phone horizontally, it will record in those orientations just fine. When I play it back, the part I recorded vertically plays full screen but when I get to the part I recorded horizontally it's still in the vertical position so I rotate the phone horizontally and it fills the screen for 1 second but then it rotates itself back automatically. Is there anyway to stop this from happening? If I shut off auto rotate in settings the video plays the way I want it to. It's annoying to have to do this every time.
