OK so for Google now and our home screens, there's an option for auto rotation in landscape and portrait...dues anyone have this turned on?I'm trying to figure out what the benefit of this option is...lol thank you.

I keep my auto-rotation turned off, because I find that I move my phone around often; and the auto-rotate feature just gets in the way of my productivity. I suppose if you are reading a big article or need a bigger view of something, auto-rotation would be an asset. Also for video watching.

I think the main benefit for landscape orientation on homescreens is if you use the phone in landscape orientation most of the time. That way, it won't keep reverting to portrait each time you exit an app to the homescreen.

Yeah I see what everyone means here though honestly it can get in the way of using the phone though sometimes. I think I'm just going to turn it off though.

I agree with you. On a phone, it's rare that I need to look at the homescreen in landscape. It's more important on a tablet, but the Google Now Launcher has been able to auto-rotate homescreens on tablets for a while now.

ahah yeah , that's very true. good point. thanks for the suggestions everyone!
