Auto sync keeps turning off

So I've had an Android phone since the OG Moto Droid from 2008, so I'm not noob by any means.

Every since the November security update (T-Mobile S10) my auto sync turns off randomly, multiple times per day. This has lead to GMail, Google Calendar, and Keep Notes app to not sync unless I do it manually.

I've made sure that none of those apps are being optimized for battery. I've made sure to check off that they are allowed to work in the background, etc. I've tried clearing cache on my old phone; and I say old phone because I had spilled a beverage on my old S10 and the charging port was messed up and wouldn't fast charge, so I used my insurance deductible to get a new phone. My new S10 is having the exact same problem.

If you do a Google search, on the official Google Android forums there are other people with this problem, but no one seems to have found a fix.

Hoping someone on here might have a suggestion for me. Thanks.

Is this the 'master' sync switch or is it just affecting Google apps/accounts? If the latter, have you tried removing the Google account and re-adding it to the device? What about any scheduled battery saving features? This does sound like a bug in the patch, but those are things that could have been affected...

Yes it is the master sync when you pull down the notification bar to get to quick settings.

I have tried removing Google account and adding it back on.

How about turning the Sync Off in the toggle, reboot, and turn the toggle back ON?

Unless there's anything aggressive about Battery Saving (which you could try disabling or switching the Power Mode to High Performance), this does sound like a nasty bug in the update (hope you've reported to TMobile), especially since another device is exhibiting the same issue after the update.

Only other thing I could think of is to clear the phone's cache (I know you mentioned doing this in the 'old' phone but didn't see if it was just the apps' or the device cache, from the Recovery menu).
