Auto-update of Apps

How does one turn off the auto-update on existing apps installed? When one installs a new app for the first time, an option is given for auto-update or manual. How does one revert to manual updates so that I CONTROL the data usuage not the apps?? Galaxy S4, been searching for days on the phone, or a way to contact Google Apps??

Actually go to the app in play store, then hit your menu button. There you will see a check box to auto update or not
