Automatic time zone reads GMT -6 when it is actually GMT -7. Both use Daylight Savings Time. How can I get it to set correctly?

Automatic time zone reads GMT -6 when it is actually GMT -7. Both use Daylight Savings Time

I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, where Daylight Savings Time is used. I have my timezone set on automatic. it's now 10:52 am in Calgary and my phone also says it's 5:52 pm in the U.K. That's correct: we are 7 hours behind the U.K. Why then does my phone automatic time say (GMT-6:00) Mountain Daylight Time when it's not 6 hours behind GMT but 7?

You phone is pulling the information from the cellular tower that you are connected to. There could be something wrong with the tower.
