Automatic WIFI Toggle

Hey guys, Just got my Note 2 on Friday and am really enjoying it so far.

I have a question about the WiFi. Stock, will it turn on the WiFi when there is a connection available and turn it off when there isn't? Right now I am using an app called "Smart WiFi Toggle" and it seems to work well, but is it necessary?

No. Stock, if it's on it will stay on until you turn it off regardless of connection status.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your question but how does the phone there's a connection available if wifi is turned off? It can't scan with the wifi turned off.

You are misunderstanding. I was asking about it turning the wifi connection on and off. Not the phone.
