Automatically turning off mobile data

I have rooted HTC 10 on Marshmallow 6.0.1 and have Xposed Framework installed with the module Smart Network which is supposed to do this, but it does not work, apparently because whenever turning off data, a popup message appears which you can only manually turn off. Does anybody know of a way to disable the popup message or know of any other way to automatically turn off data when the screen goes off, and then have the data turn on when the screen turns back on?

Why not just use the notification bar that has a mobile data toggle?

The popup still appears when using that toggle. I am rooted, so I could probably alter the commands from the root folders so that no popup appears, but I don't know where it is

FYI, using Tasker and the plugin AutoInput, I figured it out. I was also able to create an app using Tasker App Factory.
