Using the S24U, have a case with a small plate on back,
to match a couple of molybdenum mags on the dash, to make
a stick on mount.
Has anyone noticed any ill effects with the S24U besides
the Spen

I only tried a couple of cases with the S24U (granted, both aramid fiber, so that may have 'helped'), but I did note that it interfered with half the non-mag-safe chargers I previously used without issue, and even the magnetic ones seem to struggle to provide 'full power' (i.e. charging took longer or flip-flopped between regular and fast Wireless charging if not placed exactly right). Also got hotter than usual compared to non-magnetic cases. This isn't the case with the S25U (since now it's truly meant to be mag-safe compatible).

For me I think I got a new case because of one I saw in an ad or something, but regardless, I struggled with heat and with adhesion. I noticed the phone getting very hot, which either was the cause of the slow/no charging or the slow charging was the reason for the extra heating. I quickly gave it up to protect the battery and the device. Oh and cornering, albeit occasional, and braking, again albeit rare, would cause the phone to fall to the floor. For me, it just wasn't worth it, plus I got faster charging from a cable. I never noticed any issue with the SPen, or screen from this case and used the case for weeks after abandoning the idea of using a mag charger in my car. I think if you had a charging pad, like the kind were you just drop the phone on it willie nilly, wireless charging is a neat concept. It might even be seen as easier than wired, just nothing around this worked out for me.
