Autorotation Issue

A small subset of apps (most notable being the default Gallery app) no longer auto-rotate - it will lock to portrait. Oddly enough, if I launch the Gallery from within the camera app, it will launch in landscape.

It started happening around the time I installed the Gear VR and Oculus software as well as the VR version of Gallery. Before I uninstall all my Oculus/GearVR apps to test, can anyone who also has these installed tell me if their auto-rotate is working? Thanks.

Auto-rotate working on mine for the Gallery. Only apps that don't support certain modes (I'm looking at you, Instagram and Flipboard) don't rotate.

Do you have the Oculus apps installed for GearVR?

Yup. All updated recently (can't recall when, all I know is that they auto update when I connect to WiFii and I recall seeing that)

Strange. Something funky with my phone then. My battery life has also suddenly gotten a lot worse - about 50% of the SOT I used to get. Seem its time for a factory reset...

Before doing that try to boot up in Safe Mode and seeing if you have the same issue. If you don't, then it's an app that's interfering with the sensor somehow.
