aux cable with car stereo..

Hello, i have a car stereo I bought a few yrs back.. it has an auxiliary option that I've never used..if I buy an auxiliary cable for the vivid will it just start playing my music? That simple? Will it also charge my phone?

Sorry I'm a totally clueless on this subject..

you should be able to hear music and calls through the phone if your stereo is switced to AUx mode. It will not charge your phone.
