Welcome to Android Central.

Did you notice this the first day/time you used it after the update or was it just some time after the update in general that you noticed this?

What phone do you have?

Have you tried another cable?

Were you using Android Auto or an interface offered by your car's head unit?

Have you researched how to upgrade/update your car's head unit?

Is your car's head unit stock or an aftermarket upgrade? What brand?

Since this appears to be something you use all of the time, my initial thought is that perhaps your cord is damaged. This is why I asked if you noticed it right away or if you had tried another cable.

While the phone you have shouldn't make a difference, knowing what device you have can help us find out if the issue is a known issue with other devices.

Knowing what interface and head unit you're using can let us know if there might be a better way to connect. Similarly knowing if you've updated your head unit software can tell us if there is an upgrade for it and/or if it is limited to Android OS's up to a certain level. Most of the time it is OS whatever and above however there are some cases where it's up to this OS.
