Android Central Question

I have a Huawei P20 lite. I noticed this morning that one of my apps had disappeared. I tried reinstalling from the play store and it said that this app contains malware and is recommended to uninstall. It's a genuine app Gopuff. I have avast free security so it ran a scan and picked up that the Argos app I have contains malware. I've had that app for ages and it's never picked it up before. Could it just be a false positive or is it possible some malware has gotten in to my phone and is getting in to apps or something? Not really sure what to do

Welcome to Android Central.

First Malware apps are usually more mal than ware, causing more problems than they solve or prevent. They often present false positives. The Play Store, Google, is one of the most diligent app providers and often let users know, up to and including removing apps from the Play Store and devices based on findings. If your malware app removed the app, I would remove the malware app.
