AVG Antivirus app

Does this app slow down the phone?

Looking for recommendations and opinions. I want to protect my personal data as well.

I use Avast and have had no problems

I used avg and have not noticed any issues.

I use Lookout and Cerberus without probs.

I went with Avast because I like the ability to remotely shut down the phone if it's lost or stolen. I do not believe there is any changes to the phones functionality once installed.
