After doing some research, it appears that Android uses CODEC?s to display different types of video just as Windows does and HTC has not included the AVI codec with the out of the box Flyer. The easiest way to install the codec so that you can play AVI movies is to install a free movie player that you download from Android Market. Initially I tried QQPlayer and the AVI?s would play but there was too much framing, where the video is not smooth when you have movement, so I tried converting the AVI to an MPEG4 and the problem disappeared, which isolated the problem to the AVI format. Realizing that not all codecs for a particular format are the same in Windows, I took another suggestion in this forum and tried RockPlayer Lite, which has a free demo version, the Rockplayer codec corrected the framing issues, regardless of the player you choose. I hope this helps, if you are unhappy with your AVI video from the Flyer.
