Welcome to the forums. It seems to be a valid anti virus program. PC Mag reviewed it and gave it a mediocre rating. Link: Avira Antivirus (2017) Review & Rating | PCMag.com

As for an anti virus on Android; it isn't really needed. As long as you get your apps from Play or Amazon, and have disallowed installing unknown sources, you should be fine without one.
