Awesome battery life!!!!!

I use mine frequently, with every array of social networking app installed & syncing; 100+ texts per day, constant Snapchats, emails, etc; read news, blogs; Tapatalk, and ~30hrs of phone calls.

I'm on WiFi at home or on my works WiFi a good portion of the day. I average about 5-6GB of data per month, about 2-3GB of mobile data.

Average on screen time is 3hrs, give or take, and between 13-16 hours standby time.

I cruise through the day just fine and have no issue charging the device at the intervals in which it needs to be charged. Plus I have one of those charger packs, super convenient.

Now this is a person that uses their phone! Lol.

I have an s3 and I used to get almost 4 hours use of of it, but then suddenly I can't get more than 2 and a half hours since batteries age. Bought another one and went right back to where I was.

Maybe having removable batteries area good thing.....

Haha I thoroughly enjoy using it, and it's so much faster and more convenient for me to get any information I require than booting up the MacBook or PC.

Also, I did edit that post... I mean 30 minutes, obviously not 30 hours lol.

I also figured specifying how I used my phone helps other understand my battery stats better than saying "I'm a heavy user."

It is but my phone still can't hit anywhere near 5 hours, ne of the posters go that battery life and that's insane.

You mean 5hrs on screen time? Because never have I ever seen that either. I've cracked 4 a few times when I've been busy with work or class, but 3 is the average. I've also hit 20-21hrs standby, but again, I average closer to the 14hr range.

Same, and yeah on screen time

My iPhone was far better in terms of battery life, but my N4 is so much better overall.

Yep the 6h screenshot is stock rom + stock kernel, the one with 2 days. 7h battery life is custom rom + stock kernel.

Just switched from Franco kernel back to stock now. Only thing that's going wrong for me is the idle drain of stock compared to Franco. On time does seem better though. I'll go through my day then report back later on.

Cool, for some reason francos was very bad for me, I could just about last a day :S Remember to go through a few charge cycles to tell the difference. Its good practice to complete a few full charge and drains (100-0%) as well. Im running matr1x atm and its immense, mainly because its able to change the lowest cpu speed from 384 to 288mhz.

Hi all, my battery life is POOR. No better than my previous HTC incredible (worse in fact) that only had a 1400mah battery. This one is 2100. Sure it's a much bigger screen but i at least expect it to be better than a day. I struggle to get through a day. I am running juice defender and maybe that doesn't work as well as it did on the HTC.
All this rom kernel matrix talk is mumbo jumbo to an ingoramous like me - can anyone offer some advice on how to extend? I'm a reasonably heavy user but not excessively so. Screen is coming out at about 47% of the battery usage. Those who are taking screen shots of their 2 day on battery sessions seem to have 25-30% screen time which to me just says you're not using the thing! It does hold it's charge well i'll give it that. Last night i went to bed with it on 25% and forgot to plug it in and it was on exactly the same in the morning so that's a plus i guess!

Look at my screenshot right above your post. 46% of screen yet 20hrs and 3.5hrs screen on time. Juice Defender won't help you in my opinion. If anything, it'll make it worse. Care to post a screenshot of your battery stats at the end of the day

Overall i rarely need to charge if I start the day full. I play through the speaker for about 1 hour a day, texting, web browsing and facebook on mobile data and a little podcast streaming. Most of my usage throughout the day is not on wifi, even if I get home late my battery isn't below 10%

Er, how do i do a screen shot then?!

Happy to report however that i have ditched juice defender which for some reason certainly doesn't seem to agree with the N4 in the way it did with my last HTC. But this didn't make a lot of different to batter life and clearly pushed the cell up the usage ranking to 8-9%. So i installed a simpler batter saver app that still switches the cell off but not in the fancy way juice defender does by hunting for your regular wifi network when the cell is off. The result right now is, after charging yesterday to 95% and leaving work at 5ish, that i'm on nearly 19hrs with 12% remaining, 3hrs 47 screen time at 41%. This would probably mean 4hrs screen time and 22ish hrs in total once the battery is fully drained and if it had been fully charged. Not as good as some of the above but not too bad either.
