Hey guys. Not sure if any of you were hoping to have a way to watch TV on your Thunderbolt but I've been using Playon the last few hours and it works pretty darn good. Not HD quality but they are supposedly working on that for a future update. You can watch tons of channels and both live TB and old broadcasts. Just what I was looking for in order to watch March Madness games while at work. Check out playon.tv for more details.

I was trying to use Bitbop that came installed with the phone but for some reason it will not download. Is Playon free?

I use justin.tv and I feel it's better. They have an app and its very basic. Just view peoples channels, some stream movies, some sports etc

I usually just use flash enabled sites to stream content. adobe flash ftw :) although, i'd like to try this. Too bad I run Ubuntu

You can play the ncaa games in the phone's browser on ncaa.com's streaming site.

Have you tried this? When I try it it just constantly stutters, like the phone can't handle such a high resolution flash video.

And to lovy, its a free 14 day trial and then $5/month after that.

I'll have to check out Justin.tv and see if i can get the game that way. In the past, its real hit or miss in terms of whether justin.tv will have what you're looking for.

They also have an $79 lifetime fee, pay once and done. They are always running special though, i got in on their $39.99 pay once lifetime fee, sign up on their newsletter and you might get one of those coupons.

The whole purpose of Playon is two fold.

1. To utilize your PC to do all the processing of the video and then stream it to any device that supports streamin like Xbox, another lower end PC, ps3, wii, iphone, android, etc.

2. To get around all the stupid blocks that some content providers place on their sites not allowing any device on except the ones they approve (like Hulu does). Since your PC is the one going to the site and streaming the video, all they see is your PC and no other devices so you'll never be blocked....that is unless they start blocking PC's which at that point they may as well just shut their site down.

I've been using it for a while now and like it. It also allows you to stream any local content you may have on your PC although that is still in "beta".
