Axon 7 in 2018: To buy or not to buy

OK thanks for the feedback Rumblee...I found one the other day on Ebay that was purchased last June and looks clean. The guy wants $200. What I wonder is whether the new ban on ZTE will drive prices down. I did a chat with ZTE tech support who told me the Oreo update will be released and security patches will continue though I can't help but think that unless they resolve the problem with Google, Oreo might be the last OS update

The phone is 2 years old they've been good on updates even if they don't get it I'm happy with it it still works great.

I'm pretty happy with mine. But I hope ZTE will be able to sell to north America again. Cause eventually it will get old

Since Google has pulled access to the OS updates and services including the Play Store, the Axon 7 no longer appears to be a good move in my opinion. Checking the Android sites that show which mfg will get Oreo, ZTE does NOT show up anywhere making it obvious Google has eliminated them. I'm going wth an LG G6 or a OnePlus 3T instead.
