All right. I had the G6 at launch
Then, I got lured into the S8, but it had the red tint issue. I set up a return of the S8 and I got another G6 in the interim and said " I love this phone, but I want to give the S8 a try". So, I sold the G6 on Swappa and returned the S8 to the Samsung online store after going to the VZW store and getting one without the tint issue. Now, I'm sniffing around the G6 again. The S8 seems too..... Busy? The curves are nice, but it's delicate, I like Samsung Pay, but the G6 is apparently coming out with LG Pay this summer, it has a great screen but I like the screen of the G6 as well. It's not as harsh. Finally, I can get a G6 for about $200 less and I think it's comparable to the S8 in a lot of ways. Am I crazy or should I stick it out with the S8. I am also a frequent switcher but not between the same phones like this. If I return this S8, I won't go back. Can't justify it.

I don't know how you justify even doing it as much as you did.. that's a lot of work and I'm lazy haha :P.

Up to you.. By the sounds of it you'd be more comfortable switching back and forth for the next two years haha

I have been there..G6, S8+, Pixel XL. S8+ is going back, G6 waiting to find a new owner, I'm going back to Pixel XL because that's what works best for me and with Android O beta coming soon I generally like playing around with latest software. What I found is every phone has it's strength and weakness, for me software/updates is #1 and Pixel does other things well as well so going back to Pixel. You got decide what you like the best, and choose accordingly.

To each it's own... Last year I was sure S7 edge was my phone as G5 dint impress me... As I had G4 earlier.. This year I was sure i dint want curve screen and was very impressed what LG did with G6...G6 ticked all my boxes... Mostly I keep my phones for a year or 2...thou if a master piece phone I keep forever... Like I still have old Nokia's and Lumia 1020 and Nokia 808 PV both 41mp monsters

I love my G6. Can't believe I still miss my Note 4 as much as I do though. If only I could somehow create a slot of a stylus for my G6.

I know exactly how you feel. I went with the S8 first and then tried the G6 (current). I couldn't decide if I wanted to jump back or stay. As each day passes, I realize that I want to stay. Samsung pay is great, but it doesn't make the experience. For me, the experience of ownership extends into durability and cost of repair. What good is having a phone if I'm afraid of it breaking? I'm not willing to put myself in a position to pay insurance, deductible, and basically feel like I'm carrying a child every time I go outside.

I'm pleased with everything the G6 is offering at the moment.

Those phones are the ones I'm trying to decide on right now. It's actually coming down to the G6 or XL. I'm leaning ever so slightly to the XL, but the price of the G6 is sucking me in. However, I have been a HUGE fan of stock Android for awhile, and find it tough to pass up. I actually switched my family to AT&T a few years ago so I could use a Nexus 5.
