Back of V20 Extremely hot

okay, so far 2 scenarios. 1. I was talking on the phone for about 10 minutes and literally had to hang up on the person as this phone got so hot couldn't hold it near the ear. Hung up restarted phone and waited for it to cool down. 2. Just carrying the phone one evening, got so hot, was even in sleep mode, had to use a towel to carry it to set it down. I do keep the apps closed when not running, clear, clear cache, no game apps installed, no FB or Twitter, etc., installed. This just started and can't figure out why, Verizon has no idea. They said everything looks good on phone. Would getting a different battery help, possibly? Suggestions?

First, are you using an SD card? I recall some users of the G3 having heat problems when using them....though it may only have been high-capacity ones.

All of a sudden mine is getting hot too - just using it - the top gets really hot - the bottom is ice cold??
