Back to iPhone 4s

I got my new garnet Galaxy S3 today! It is almost set up! I have had NONE of the issues I had with the first one. It is like a totally different device!! It is like night and day. With all the spam I was receiving I can't help thinking someone may have used it before me/

Really glad to hear it all worked out! Can you see now why every took your first post suspiciously? :p Way too many issues to be anything other than a lemon or someone just trying to ruffle feathers for fun. Of course, no phone is without some issues so if you come across anything simply post asking for help and the community will be sure to help out. Sometimes certain issues can be maddening, but often times has a simple solution. One thing about Android in general is I've found 3rd party apps fix a lot of issues I came across with built in apps, and I'm fine with using 3rd party apps - I just need things to work the way I do and the wealth of apps out there means I can find one that is laid out and functions the way I want.

*EDIT - this thread should be retitled "Back to S3" LOL :D

Glad to hear things are looking up.. Its a sad fact that lemons or defective devices happen but it does and more these days as OEM's are under pressure to push out so many so fast to meet demands.

Best of luck and enjoy your GS3

Glad to hear you are back to the GS3. Please report back on your experience in a few days and if you run into any issues ask questions here before you return to that inferior (my opinion) device.

Thanks! I am so amazed! This is like a totally different device! Now this device is no doubt vastly superior to the 4s. What I had was so wrong in so many ways, Signals are great, texts work great, everything does!

It's great that you are enjoying your new SG3, and I hope this continues. I, as I said before, am a recent emigre from the BlackBerry world. As a device junkie, I am loving the dimensions, the functionality, and the customizability of going Android for my phone (I have been using Android tablets for some time now). And I am so happy that I switched platforms to go with the best there was, the SG3.

But, I still say, always use whatever makes the most sense to you. What fits you best. You owe no allegiance to Samsung, Android, Apple, IOS....They owe you a device you can employ and will provide the best service to you.

Didn't know that you needed to carry a card. What's the annual membership fee?

The annual membership fee? Well, it's steep. Let's see, the Acer A500 cost me $279 (refurb deal), the Asus Transforner 101 with the dock cost me $360 (great refurb deal), the Asus TF300 with dock cost me $450 (brand new on sale at Office Max) the SG3 cost me $199...and don't get me started on accessories,Square Trade accidental damage warranties, sales tax...Oy vey.

ETA: when I look at this all together, it almost shocks me. Sheesh. With this kind of jones, will it be much longer before I am forced to start knocking over 7-11's?

Good luck finding a 7/11.

Good luck finding a 7/11.

I live in downtown Boston, so there is one a half a block from me. It might be a bit unwise to start my career in armed robbery at a place where I normally buy a bottle of Fresca, however.

Good for you man. I love my razr maxx but if your happy with iphone go with iphone heck if your happy with old nokia then get that one

Well its nice that we have so many genuises here.

Thanks......we tend to enjoy the technology behind phones and customizing it to suit our tastes. Rather than having it shoved down our throats in a locked system with the intent of being told what to like.

Great. You can be my lookout. I can almost see this on an episode of "Wicked Attraction" on the Investigation ID network.

Criminologist Commentator : "The wicked attraction of Mellimel22 and barskin stemmed from their addiction to the latest technology. Strung out by their latest acquistion of the Samsung Galaxy S3, their unquechable thirst for even more, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity, and an endless string of two year contracts led them into a crime spree that shocked a nation."
