Well, I know this may not be popular around here, but I am thinking of selling my Nexus 5 and going back to my HTC One. There is a lot to like about the Nexus 5, I like the screen, form factor, Google Now implementation, speed of the OS. But am having too many small nagging issues like:
1. Speaker quality quite low
2. When on phone proximity sensor is inconsistent
3. Visual voice mail not working
4. Exchange email not as good as HTC's
5. Battery life is not as good.

On their own, none are deal killers, but all together, I find myself frustrated that it does not work as well as my HTC One in many ways.

Enjoy your old/familiar device! (No sarcasm intended). The point of a smartphone is for you to enjoy it, and for it to be functional for you. If the N5 isn't the phone that does those things, then there's no point in sticking with it. Life's too short lol.

I think a similar thing happened with people who owned the Nexus 4. There were a lot of little issues that ruined the experience when taken together. This was a big problem for people who depend on their phone for work.

Good luck with your HTC One! It's a good phone, too. Hopefully Google and LG will fix the issues that some people are getting and the Nexus 5 will be back on track.

I'm coming from an HTC One too. My thoughts.

1. Totally agree
2. No issues with mine
3. I use Google Voice, good alternative
4. In my opinion neither is good
5. I get better battery life on my Nexus 5

I agree with Soma. If this devices doesn't meet your needs then it's best to go back to what you enjoy and is able to do what you need it to do out of the box. At least you are able to say you've tried the Nexus 5 and it didn't work for you.

Well I think I am gonna return back to HTC One too after a month with the S4.
It will cost me a little bit but I missed Sense and its unique Car app.
S4 is just boring,I keep flashing TW roms as they are updated weekly as well as PACman roms but I feel them ''empty'' compared to Sense.
N5 is a very nice looking phone despite the plastic but all the multimedia parts are weaker than One (camera, screen and speaker)
I tried the G2 but if I was bored bu the S4 it will be the same with G2 as it's a pale copy + very few roms
